Many reviewers of cases like this complain that folding it backward shuts off the screen. Magnets hold the keyboard in place and will also turn off the screen.

One person found this helpful. Great overall, a little heavy but when you dont need the keyboard you can easily leave it at home while still having the tablet be well protected and eliminates the chances of losing that pen!
